I lawyered up, but he says wife's lesbian love affair has no bearing on custody?

Technically she never cheated on me but fell in love with a lesbian. She's been depressed ever since her best friend of many years turned lesbian and started a relationship with another woman. We are in the process of separation now but I don't want my kids being exposed to that lifestyle AT ALL. Lawyer says courts don't care about lesbianism at all but we could make a case based on the depression resulting from it. When did we sink so low as a nation to allow this to happen?
